Crowns & Bridges

The doctors at Cook Family Dentistry believe that the best option is to keep as much of a patient's original tooth as possible. Dental crowns are often recommended when a tooth has a large restoration, a known fracture or previous root canal therapy. In all of the mentioned circumstances, crowns are created to protect the remaining tooth from breaking or fracturing further. Our dentists offer several types of crowns such as gold, porcelain and zirconia.

Bridges are used to replace a missing tooth between two other original teeth or crowns. An artificial tooth is custom made to replace a patient's missing tooth and is permanently attached to the surrounding original teeth or crowns. If a bridge is not a recommended option for a missing tooth, a patient may choose to have an implant placed.
