Sometimes decay in a tooth may be too deep to treat with only a restoration or the tooth may show signs of infection in the bone. In these circumstances, Dr. Cook may recommend root canal therapy. The doctors at Cook Family Dentistry do their best to perform as many root canal treatments as possible, however at times patients are referred to an Endodontist, a root canal specialist, to ensure the best results based on the individual evaluation of the tooth.
